Fresh starts begin with delicious deletions
On 01 of 01 2025 at 11:00 pm I staved off the sleepiness that was claiming my eyeballs and my energy by deciding I wanted to spend some time deleting Facebook ‘friends.’ I went at it using the quickest method I had found, to date.
The friends who fell came from past networking events, friends of friends who likely no longer knew I existed and didn’t need inadvertent access to snoop if they did come across me now.
Some were offshore artists and contacts connected to the Latin Festival of 2019 for which I was the publicist.
More fell by the wayside effortlessly with zero regrets the more I did.
Participants in my old life and interestingly, I made these decisions swiftly and without dithering or overthinking. Messages from my subconscious. It is easy and important to let go… of people, and inauthentic contact, and with each one, severing the aspiration of some relationship, or some business development potential or a shared interest that would never develop because I had credited a person’s character or the potential of the situation where none may even have existed.
Yes. A portal to potential in 2025 and beyond by doing what I have successfully deployed in the past. Before embarking on a new phase or a particular project, I often began by cleaning the house and clearing my mental and physical space.
This sweep was just one step in a decluttering process. A different spin on our cultural pre-occupation with losing weight as a New Year’s resolution.
